CalBal Privacy Policy

CalBal is designed to help you understand calorie balance using data you choose to share from Apple Health. This policy explains what data the app uses and how that data is handled.

Health Data

With your permission, CalBal reads relevant Apple Health data such as dietary calories, active calories, resting calories, and body weight. CalBal uses this information to calculate and display calorie balance trends inside the app.

CalBal does not sell your Health data, use it for advertising, or share it with third-party data brokers. CalBal does not use Apple Health data for marketing or advertising purposes.

Data You Enter or Adjust

CalBal may store settings or adjustments you make in the app, including Resting/BMR calorie fine-tuning values and app preferences. These values are used to personalize the calculations and views shown in CalBal.

Where Data Is Stored

CalBal is built to keep app data on your device unless a feature clearly requires Apple services or App Store services, such as purchase validation. Apple Health permissions and Health data access are controlled by iOS.

Purchases

If CalBal offers paid features, purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. CalBal may check purchase status to unlock features, but payment information is handled by Apple.

Permissions

You can change CalBal's Apple Health permissions at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings. If you remove permission, CalBal may no longer be able to show calorie balance or weight trend information that depends on that data.

Children's Privacy

CalBal is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so the issue can be reviewed.

This policy may be updated from time to time. When it changes, the updated date on this page will be revised.
